Those are gorgeous. I want them - the skinny quarters, that is. Guess I'd better get working on my loss for March (and it's my birth month which means cake - a smaaallll piece, right?)

I would suggest batiks and black/white for future months.
This is my first day to not see Allie. I am having withdrawal. LOL The other grandparents are here for the weekend so I don't feel I should go over there.
I am also doing the new mystery quilt. My first priority right now has to be my Ireland quilt. What I really want to work on is a baby quilt for Allie.
Like the black/white and batiks --- also polka dots.

Oh Cindy those fabrics are beautiful. I had better behave myself. I love them all. I think I need them. I am trying not to buy fabric this year. Trying to use up some of my out of control stash. I have used up quite a bit of the fabric that just isn't my style on the last Mystery train ride and I started a chemo quilt for a friend last night. I am doing a quick pattern I found on Pintrest. Most of it is up on my new design wall now.
I have a lot of fall colors which she loves. I had to really dig thru the mess to find some light colors to complete it. I have made several quilts totally from my stash:-)

Teriffic Tuesday --- read a neat sidebar article in a Dec/Jan Arthritis Healthg Monitor magazine during a recent doctor's visit - good info -
    Head off weight gain
*Trick yourself into eating light. ...wear fitted clothes instead of baggy sweaters, having that snug layer close to my body reminds me not to overindulge.
*Have a 'food exit' stragety. If you find yourself overeating at a party, get away from the food by taking a tour of the house. Ask to see the upstairs, the basement, whatever it takes.
*Sneak in exercise. If you know you'll be skipping a workout, find little ways to inject aerobic exercise and stretching into the day. Take the stairs, park far from the entrance and it'll make a huge difference.
    Stay healthy everyone!

The pattern is on www.ricochetandaway.blogspot.com Go under tutorials and scroll down to Beyond HST. That is the pattern. You sew 2 squares together, right side together with a 1/4" seam around all 4 sides. You cut them both directions from corner to corner. The you recut them. There are 5 different ways to put them together. I started with 6 1/2 inch squares and my final block will be about 8 inches. I haven't decided what configuration to use yet. It goes really fast. I just cut a bunch of squares and started sewing. Hope this makes sense.
