Thanks for the kick in the rear with this VQW! I have a quilt that needs the binding finished up. I am one of those who can only work on one project at a time! Hopefully I can finish it and get one more Christmas gift cut out.

    Default Oriental Quilt

I just finished making a herd of ponies for Etsy and want to get back to the main quilt I've been working on for months. The colors in real life are a lot brighter than the picture. I hope the picture shows up.

Also need to finish trimming a crochet scarf for the veterans and work on blocks for my daughter's pinwheel quilt.

Love the peacock batik and blue compass squares the rest of you did!

I will be working on the binding of my QOV and on the presentation case. Also have my first embroidery lesson on my new Viking Topaz 30.

Well I'm here. Got up late today, kids got up and just watched TV for a bit while letting mom and dad sleep for a change. Just finished up breakfast, laundry is started, kitchen picked up till lunch, and just need to tidy up the blankets and stuff in the living from where all the troops were watching cartoons this morning then time to sew. Planning on finishing up swap items today. Happy sewing.

    Thank you!

Will somebody PLEASE turn off my brain!!! I just thought of something else that HAS to be quilted in this quilt! I'll give a short background. This quilt is for my Goddaughter, who at age 14 is in her third year of high school She has had the female lead in the fall play all 3 years. She lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I really wanted to be there this year for her, but I'm in San Antonio. So. . .I made this quilt for her. Her favorite color is red & I would love to present her with a big bouquet of flowers, but this will have to do.

What I decided I needed to quilt in the borders are the titles of the 3 plays she's acted in: Arsenic & Old Lace (was one of the 2 sisters - 2011, The Miracle Worker (was Helen Keller) - 2012 & The Man Who Came to Dinner (Sheridan Whiteside's assistant) - 2013. The play opened last night & runs through Sunday. This is a large high school & we are so proud of her. Her Mom is my BFF!
