Id leave it, the recipient isn't going to scrutinize your work; just love the fact that you made them something special and unique!

I wouldn't rip it, I think your puppy quilt is really cute.

I might go over those sections one more time. I made a table runner without binding that specified zigzagging the edges three times. The first time, the stitch length was about 2.0, the second time about 1.5, and the third time it was about 1.0. The stitch width was the same each time. By the time I finished, the edge looked great.

Satin stitching is very forgiving. Simply go back over the "rough" edges again and smooth it out. It will also fill in spaces.

I would not remove the stitching, if you have the triple stitch on your maching, stitch just to around the outside of the satin stitch. I have started doing the on all my satin stitching and it seems to clean up the edges.

You could go over them again. This is something I have done in the past. From a distance, he looks cute. I'd leave it alone. You could say that he is having a bad hair day.

It's perfect the way it is. I have never seen a puppy with totally smooth hair.

I wouldn't rip it out either. This happens as you build on a new skill. The recipient knows it was stitched with love and that beats perfection any time! Some things to remember: write down stitch width & length so you'll have uniformity, use your needle down position to turn sharp corners; gentle curves can be handled by slowly turning the fabric. Watch Fons & Porter video, u tube videos on machine appliqué. You're really doing a fine job!! Just stay with it!!
