Same with my Atlas gardening gloves. High wrist makes them ideal for my arthritic hands. Just need to get them snug enough and I can thread needles too. But I do also use the rubber matt stuff you've shown.

Hey you guys!! Don't go getting all ADVANCED on me!!! I just got gloves and am thrilled with the technological advances they have given my quilting!!!!!

Shelfliner idea looks good too though!!

you can sew your own glove quite easily and if you trim off the thumb and first finger, you will be able to thread easily and still have plenty of contact with the palm and other 3 fingers to move the fabric around.

If you use the glycerin you will never have a problem with threading needles as you don't need gloves. All my quilting friends are using the glycerin and LOVING it. A single drop, two at the most, is all you need.

Yes, this stuff is great for just about everything. But I use the most of it under my cutting boards, under sewing light and under my thread holders just to keep them from sliding. When I went to Guild the other day, many were surprised when they used my smaller cutting board and found it did not slip upon the church table. Well, when I told them to look underneath, they all agreed they would be picking up self and drawer liners soon.
