I would like to know also Is The Hoffman Challenge the name of the material or is it a pattern?
In the absence of an answer from the originator of this post I will tell you that Hoffman are a fabric manufacturer and every year they choose several fabrics and usually a theme. they then ask you to make a design using two of three of the chosen fabrics. The best wins a nice prize.

Well there are several places that stock Hoffman fabrics.

Try Handcoks of Paducah, Shibori Dragon, Equilter. All have lots and lots of beautiful Asian fabrics.

Let me know if you are lucky.

I am wondering what the theme is for this year. Usually they have a theme that is for the Challenge. Anyone know?

Since you asked about the greens, the ones I like are the one with the cherry blossoms and the one with the circles. The others are a bit harsh for me. I adore the deep wine red of the chrysanthemums, and the creams. The colour that jars more than the green is that purple- nice but not in that company! As for your question about décor, I'm more of a shabby chic girl so would not go for an entire quilt of these fabrics. I'd love a robe though, or a pp pillow, a bag, or other accents in these fabrics (some are nice enough to frame just as they are!) I love Japanese things, but for me these ultra lovely fabrics are not saying 'quilt' at all!

OK, tell this dummy what an OBW is. (I've never seen more beautiful fabrics, and I lived in Japan for a year!)
