    Hi, Linda!

Boy, I've been away for a bit having had to make an unscheduled move of my own sewing room from down to upstairs. Whew! It's a bit bigger area, but what a job! I'll do pics here pretty soon - as soon as I find the floor.

As to your machine, I have the 19110 and its predecessor. I love, love them both and have lots of the gizmos that go with them. I've also discovered that all the Janome parts fit these machines, so if Kenmore doesn't make the specialized one you want, try Janome. (Actually, someone told me that Janome makes these Kenmores.) Whatever the case, mine both get used a lot and deliver a lot of bang for the buck. There are a couple little upgrades that might be nice to have, but not several hundred (or more) dollars' worth.

I take each of mine in every 2-3 years for Sears servicing and tune-up. It's a good $75-$80 spent as they just keep purring along. Interesting, though, that the older one has always been much quieter than the newer one.

Now, as to that "clacking" walking foot, Yes, it does make more sound that the others, but it has lots more moving parts too. As some have already mentioned, just be diligent about keeping it clean and oiled - the foot as well as the machine.

Actually, I keep a couple pipe cleaners near my machines at all times. Every time I change the bobbin, I carefully poke the pipe cleaner in and around the bobbin holder and always get some lint that's lurking around. That's what'll cost you some buckaroos if it gets too built up.

You're gonna love, love your new machine and I can't wait to see your room pictures as well. Congrats!

    ~ Jo
