I don't look at brands. I buy whatever catchs my eye and sometimes my heart. I have had some fabrics for years before I found the right project for thme. Others go right into something.

I like Moda for the quality and prints, however some of the other names you mentioned I haven't seen yet.

I buy what I like initially - however, when I then look, I invariably or unconsciously have picked up Hoffman, Marcus Bros or Michael Miller. I do have some Jinny Beyer.

I buy what I like but have one designer that I sure would like
to have more fabric from. I normally have to buy what I can
afford.

I usually buy what I like but I do look it over carefully for quality. I have found a lot of fabric lately where the design is stamped on, rather than woven in. There are certain designer brands I love
(like certain lines that feature Asian - my addiction). The one thing I won't compromise on is black. I only buy Michael Miller "true jet
black." My LQS gives me a deal of 25% off since I always buy it by the bolt.

Color, pattern, feel/weight. I don't care who makes it as long as it appeals to those senses!

I have some knowledge of fabric designers from the quilt magazines but I don't buy fabric based on the name of the designer. I don't have any favorite fabric designers or companies. I don't pay attention to collections or anything like that when I actually go fabric shopping. I usually buy fabric that I like for the stash or for its use in a project. I usually don't do the quilt exactly as pictured anyway unless it is a kit or BOM.
