Ok cut it to fit around the whole machine! Make your machine fit all the way inside the cut. That way it does not fall off that little back edge. If you look at the tables where your machine inserts the custom plexiglass things fit all the way around the machine. Just a thought but it would make it even better. And if you could cut a hole in your table and set it inside even better. Where there is a will there is a way!!

After you mask it off what kind of saw do you use to cut it?
