I was hoping dragonquilt who showed us the first one & wrote the tute would jump in here to help us.

I really liked it, but being the economic minded person that I am (especially with the price of fabric going up) I think I am going to try doing it again with smaller squares for the first 2 or 3 rounds and work up to the 6" square for the last round. If I find that I need more fullness I might cut a diamon shape of extra leftover batting to put in each petal. Once I try it that way I will post both pictures to let everyone know if it worked or not.

Sherryl, I am making a green Dahlia now & have used your measurements. You were right that it makes it flatter than with the 6" blocks.
I'm still having a terrible time getting the overlapped pcs. to meet well. They're so short the next row doesn't cover them well so I had to put a dab of glue to make them stay tucked in. I've had to open up the fold on the bottom rows to make them overlap. Did you have to do this or can you think of what I'm doing wrong?

Glad I am not the only one that is befuddled. I am in the moving process right now, but when I am settled this is on my to do list. I will hope for some more good ideas on how to make this abit more clear to me. it is a beautiful pattern, but difficult? or am I just dense???
