I bought my box in the Laundry department of the local Walmart where they have the starches and detergent. Also, our Kroger's store has them also. They are made by Shout here in Ohio.

I swear by them, the color catchers. I made a redwork quilt several years ago and the boarders were all made from red and white fabric (not pre washed). The quilt came out beautiful and all of the red was on the color catcher.

I will continue to use Shout Color Catcher's and if I think a fabric will bleed excessively I will put in more than 1 sheet when washing.

Yes, this is the brand I bought years ago. Wondered if they were still around! Anyone know??

I used a color catcher with a load of mixed colored clothes and some lighter colors...it didn't quite work like it supposed to.
I put a white skirt in with an intensely colored hot pink blouse...I
have a pale pink skirt now. I read the instructions on the box and I should've used 2 or 3 color catcher sheets.

I'll continue to use them as well but I'm thinking that anyone who washes red fabrics and white fabrics together for the first time isn't thinking straight! There are other colors that fit in the same category as well. I totally believe in them although I still sort based on type of fabric more than colors. Color catchers are part of my luggage if I have to travel and do laundry while I'm gone. I'll be darned if I'll do two loads just because I have mixed colors!

I do sort my laundry, but I don't prewash my fabric so if I have mixed colors on my quilt I always use a color catcher and am very satisfied with it. Will continue to use the color catchers and send one with new quilts to customers with directions.
