I see that there are many saying they like the 301 better than a FW. Why? I have never sewed on either one.

I got one at an auction yesterday for $20.00 had the manual and 3 boxes of feet and about 4 bobbins. But you got the buy of the day just $2.00. I like my 301 to sew on better than the FW also. Use the FW to go to quilt club.

Personally, I like that it has more power and sews faster than the FW. Also, there's something about the slant foot that makes it easier to see the needle and the light is brighter and in a better place...this one is front, the FW's light is in back and is not as bright.

But mostly I think that it is because of the more power. You can put the pedal to the metal and sew fast with this one! :)
