No, I have a Louieville slugger close by & he would have got the crap beat out of him or I would have shot him with my S&W.

First, he/they would have to get thru the boxer and very protective German Shepard and then meet with me. I have protection in my house. I also have three vintage rolling pins which are heavy duty ones and my cast iron skillets too. The intruder might not survive the dogs though or be in any shape for a fight afterwards. I do have vinatge machines handy too and any one of them would seriously hurt an intruder if hit with one.

Absolutely!
I might use the gun first. It's by my side.

A person has to do what a person has to do.

Good for her! I was lucky and not at home when someone broke into my house several years ago. All my doors have more than one lock and I keep a ball bat handy as well as a hatchet. There have been several home invasions in the news lately. Most have been in the larger cities, but they can happen anywhere even in the country. It is better to be prepared than hurt or worse.
