I would skip some grocery items to continue buying Peanut Butter. Seriously speaking, I and my DH can’t make adjustments for Peanut butter, we love having Peanut butter and we prefer having the best.

We saw that too. My husband says he's going to have his peanut butter no matter what it costs.

I have a large walk in pantry and I keep the stock rotated and filled with staples to last a year. I learned how to stock from a Mennonite lady. She said her religion mandates that each family be prepared to sustain themselves for at least six months so they can be strong and not worry about food problems during time of need. I buy for months at a time and save hundreds of dollars. When food we will eat goes on sale I buy three to six months worth at a time. I don't look for another sale on that item or buy it again until I'm down to a couple months left of it. Most all staple food last a year or more without losing nutrients.

Speaking of peanut butter. I made a yellow cake in a long pan so it was not so high. When it came out of the oven spread peanut butter on it and then immediately put Hershey's dark choc bar on top so they melted. OMG! It was sooooooooooo good.

Like everything else- wait for the sales and buy two instead of one - and it'll come back on sale later on - We can't quit living because of prices rising - it's been rising for years on many things - this is just one more to add to the list. Hate it but what can we do?

I eat a lot of p.b., and watch for the buy one, get one sales. It is already too expensive.
