My DD is coming home from Florida with her hubby and new baby girl. :) Both sons and another DGD, mom, and brother and his family of 5. There will 14 of us and I can't wait! DH hleps with the cooking and mom and SIL will bring pies and some dishes. We start off watching the parade and waiting for Santa...then it's football.

We'll be spending Christmas with our daughter and her family in South Carolina. They'll come up here for Christmas. My son won't be able to make it this year. He's getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan.

My husband is from a huge family. He is the oldest of 15! It is a family tradition to get together at Thanksgiving, celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas together. We rent a gym for 3 days, and make a whole weekend of it! We have lots of fun together, plan different activities, and have lots of good food. Good times. We want to make lots of memories for our children and grandchildren.

Thanksgiving will find hubby and me at our home in Shipshewana with friends and neighbors joining us for dinner. Dinner will be our traditional turkey & gravy, meat & bread stuffing, whipped sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, lots of fresh steamed veg’s., and homemade pies; apple, lemon meringue and chocolate pecan.

I wish everyone a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday and may your blessings be plentiful!!

We will travel to Washington D.C. to visit with youngest son and DIL. He is retiring from the Navy next June, so this will be our last trip to that area. I'm very proud of him with his chest full of ribbons and medals...sorry, I have to brag a little! DH commissioned him at Auburn in 1986. Seems like yesterday. I'm sure I will be helping Laura with dinner, but don't know what she has planned.

We're going to my mom's house, and I'm staying over with Mom, to get ready for Black Friday. DH will bring DD back to our house (5 miles away) but I have to get some goodies for DD without her being there with me!
