I really like the second one best. To me you can see the dimentions ( it looks more three dimentional ).

with your first design I see the stars most, with the 2nd I see the "steps" first and have to really look for the stars. So guess it depends on what you are wanting to make stand out. I like both.

IM a scrappy kinda gal but I really like Version #1.. I really like the same blue outlining the star and random blue everywhere else..

I see the stars better with the first one but have to think about the stars in the second (random colors). My eye sees cubes first in the second layout.

Good luck - there's no wrong way - you could make both and have truly different responses.

It is certainly going to be beautiful but if I had to pick one it would be the second one and I can't tell you why but when I looked at the first one I thought it looked off somehow and the second one didnt feel that way to me
