Be yourself and love your own designs. I have not yet made a quilt exactly like the pattern was created. I feel I have to add my own touch for it to be "my" quilt. This is just gorgeous and I have a granddaughter who loves purple and would love this quilt!!!

I figure it's your quilt and if you like it, go for it. I. personally, think it is lovely. It looks like a field of lavender. It will be beautiful when you finish it. It just kills me when someone says, "you can't do that." I just tell them that it's mine and I can do whatever I want to do. I'm retired now, so I really can do whatever I want!

Maybe with a border of a little darker purple...that could make it pop a bit, but not overwealm.

Again, thanks, ladies for your comments. I have started to sew it together, and I thank you for your border ideas. I like them and have been playing with fabric, trying to visualize what I might end up with. ....then I, unfortunately, decided I HAD to clean house before I could get back to this quilt. One more bathroom to clean and then I am there. (Doesn't everyone take a break during house cleaning to check and see what is going on on this board??)

No, my guild is not full of quilt police...though there are one or two. It is just that my quilts always look so different from the others that are shown. It isn't that I want my quilts to look like everyone else's, I just sometimes wonder...I guess I don't know what I wonder. ...and I suppose they wonder "Does she ever sew anything besides purple??"

Love the quilt the way it is. I really like a quilt that doesn't have so many prints that it's hard to see the pattern. Love the different shades of purple too.

I like it the way it is. You can always use a variegated thread for the quilting and that will add some more color to the white bits and pep it up a little.
