I have a small double tier toaster oven.....the trays n racks are about 6 x 4....just right for one or two..my favorite is cheese toast...but can cook real food as well...I try not to turn on the oven...seems a waste for the little bit that is cooked. In the winter..different..top of stove always on w/soup acookin'. Enjoy...lifes short!

We use ours all the time, and sure would miss it if something made it break down. We've had it for quite some time. Worth the price.

Well, only a couple of negatives out of all of these positives. After reading this I did go buy one at Best Buy. I got a Euro-Pro for either $39 or 49. It bakes, broils, toasts, etc. I wanted all of those features but was just as concerned about how much counter space it would take up. It will cook 4-6 slices of pizza and doesn't take up that much counter. I have had it two days and have used it twice. For cooking for one, this just might be the thing I needed. Thanks for all of your comments.

I always wondered if the food surface burns easily from being so closer to the heating element?

We use ours quite often. Lived in our motor home for about 4 years and it was the only oven we had. They are very handy and cook quite well. I like ours a lot.

For just the two of us I use it daily. Even sometimes when I have company I still use for a meatloaf or cake. Don't know how I lived without one.

You guys have convinced me! I've wanted one for a long, long time. I'm short on counter space but will use it in the attached garage.

Toaster ovens are great but my advice is to buy a NEW one. I was using a hand me down from my mother that caused a house fire. We got home late one night and sat a bag of groceries on the counter in front of the toaster oven. A few hours later we woke to the smell of smoke. The bag was pushed against the knob keeping the oven on. The new ovens have an automatic shut off. I am a fan of thrift stores and yard sales but learned to be cautious with things that could be a hazard.

I love my toaster oven. I use it to toast oversize bagels, English muffins, and mini pizza. Works great in the
summer months to cook meatloaf, or meatballs without heating up the kitchen.
