that quilt at sentimental stitches would be an excellent option if people feel the original dear jane is too hard.
its been decided that we'll do a breezy swap (look for yellow & blue thread) for the summer and then we're doing a Dear Jane or a Pseudo Dear Jane in the fall when people have more time to sew.
here's a link for people to check out the other option - its an easier pseudo dear jane.

its a lovely quilt and a viable alternative. i think some people get frightened when they hear Dear Jane.
it looks similar and if you do a Dear Jane border around the entire thing you'd have an excellent likeness.

Klue- now that I've seen your quilting abilities- you will do 220 won't you? :)
I'm going to do it- I never did small blocks but these appeal to me. It's something I've wanted to try. Library auction starts Thurs. so I'll check out the quilt books to see if they have one. Of course I will check out the book tent.

yes i'll be doing a jane right after the new year. right now i'm thinking all red and white with black sashing.
i never thought about doing a jane until we did one for the guild raffle. all the janes i've seen in the past were reproduction fabrics so it just never click for me.
the guild jane is very modern in design and i loved the way it came out and have decided to make one for myself.
this is a pic of our DJ raffle quilt.

i did 2 green blocks and 1 green border and even then i didn't think i'd do a jane but when i saw the entire quilt i starting doing the happy dance i loved it so much.
i've been toying with the idea of making this color scheme but i don't know....
