bevm, That is a good idea for the retreat to provide ear plugs.
I brought them with me on the Europe trip, it made sharing a room with me easier for my DD. I will bring them again this spring for my room mate.

I have not been on a retreat yet either but I have traveled overnight with friends for both business and a quilt show here and there...I always ask to sleep by the window so I can have fresh air. None of my travel partners have complained about me snoring although my DH says I do from time to time.

I would get a room just for myself. I have been accused of snoring, so far no proof that I do.....LOL
I have a deviated septum from a broken nose I got in my early teens. Also asthma probably contributes to it too.
