What does your husband mean by the quilt being funky? I think it is lovely and your fabrics are great for a baby quilt.

I have never understood why people think babies like pastels. Babies love color and contrast. Black/white/red/greens/yellows. Loud colors and contrasting prints are the way to go with baby quilts. Now if you are making this for the parent, they are usually under the impression that pastels look cuter in the baby room and are babier colors. So,you choose. Your quilt is beautiful.

NOT funky. Great colors, the contrast will catch the eye of the baby. Great job. And remember, your husband may get a huge kick out of spark plugs, engine oil, and dirty football players. Don't trust his taste with your quilts.

Do not listen to your husband. It is a wonderful baby quilt. ( That sentence can be used for more than just quilting.)

It's a great quilt! Don't stress about it … I am sure the baby and mother will be thrilled to have a handmade quilt!
