We have a week for spring clean up... our town sets it up... in that week we can throw out anything so long as it's not building material. Starting next week thursday we will be cleaning out the living room closet, the hall closets, and my moms room and closet. It's going to take forever... the bed room that is!

spring and cleaning are two words that shouldn't be in the same sentence. in fact, cleaning shouldn't be in any sentence.

Marta, I did the same thing, got new windows 3 years ago. And for the life of me, even tho I was shown how when they were installed, I can't figure out how to tilt them to clean them!
Melinda, I have the same problem but was too embarrassed
to admit it!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my DH a couple of years ago, and the state of the house just wasn't important for awhile. It does get a little better.

Be lucky! We have windows in our building that are from the 50's ... all wood and everything... so we can't clean the outside of them! well at least not the big ones in teh kitchen and the living room... and they suck in winter... this apartment is always cold! Oh and then one year in spring my step dad that it would be fun to oil the sides so it would be easier to open and close them... HA! Oh it was easy alright... but they would shut on their own too... plus the glass panes in the regular windows break easily... I can not wait to get them replaced!!!!

Okay, I checked my windows. Where the lock is on the bottom window, each side has a slide bar. I push each to the lock and pull out window. The top window does the same thing after you pull it down where you can reach the slid bars.

It took me a while to remember what to do.
