    I thought I was the only one who was being driven nuts by this problem.....nice to know I'm not alone in the crazy department!! Lots of great ideas here, I'll give a few of them a try.

    Someone sent me a piece of rubbery vinyl fabric to put under my machine. It no longer walks away. I suspect that a bit of that rubbery waffley shelf liner would work as well.

    So far I have just been chasing my foot pedal but I think I'm going to try to find the glue gun and put a *dot* in each corner and see if that helps. If not, I will just peel it off.

    they make a mat to stop the runaway. its a piece of really heavy plastic with what looks like a piece of car carpet on it. (i'm trying to remember details, bought it lots of years ago at a hancocks) then somehow, i think something maybe velco to attach the pedal to it. the pedal stays attached and mine hasn't strayed since then. sorry i can't remember more about how it goes together.

    I got tired of chasing my foot pedal and put some strips of hook & loop tape (Velcro) on the bottom of the pedal and on the floor. No more chasing!!
