Why am I not surprised that you managed a lovely set a flowers in a new NYC piece? It is so Dotty---

Did you paint that sky yourself? I have a sky I did a while back and am just looking for a good place to use it. Since I just found some fabric paint here --yippee! I am thinking of adding some tinges of grey to my sky then it will look like the outside of my studio this week. Fall is really here for us.

I can see this would have been very freeing to work on. That blue came out so intense I really like it. Can't wait to see your next piece.

So thoughtful of you to have taken that pesky detail of having to choose and then buy and pick up your gift! You are a darling thoughtful spouse I can tell............LOL

Goldendog, lots of great ideas. I have not had a lot of success with angelina. More ideas to try. What's up for March??
I bought the Babylock embellisher last April while I was at the Paduach Quilt show along with the Babylock Evolution serger. Love them both. I negotiated the price down for both of them to $2300 which retails for over $4200 for both of them. It helps to carry cash at such events and negotiate with them.

I had the Singer embellisher but wanted the Babylock and I specifically went to the show to buy the Evolution at a better price than our local LQS was selling it for. She wanted $4400 for it and no way was I going to pay that much when I knew I could travel some and find it more to the price of what I wanted to pay for it.

When at the show I saw the embellisher and knew I wanted it and knowing that if you buy more than one of any item one should be able to negotiate it pretty much at price one wants especially if you carry cash and I succeeded at getting it pretty much at price I wanted to pay for both of them.

you did really well! how does the embellisher work?

suzie-- i'm so glad you noticed that! my dh asked me what i wanted for my b'day last night. i shocked him! i said"nothing. i've already got it." and he didn't ask me what "it" is, and not wanting to cause him any extra cognition, i didn't tell him. i think i could get wife of the year for that alone!! rotflmao!!

Hello one and all....I am looking for this month's challenge results. A few of you have done splendidly and you know what a great inspiration you are for all of us.

I am a bit late but will be posting tomorrow when my little effort is done. I got sidetracked with 3 other panels I decided to put with the flowers I am completing now--other panels are all thought through and partially completed but it is going to take a while.

What other goodies to we have for show?

    Is there a May topic?
I am off to Austin, Texas to visit my son ( & Hobby Lobby). DD has packed her bikini. I have packed my kit of yo yos,
and sunscreen. Happy Cinco de Mayo to all!

Hi, do you mind if I join? I'm working on a window quilt at the moment. But I like the idea of trying out different techniques. And I'm new enough that I would appreciate any and all help.
