Dotty, thanks for getting us going on this special project.
it will take so little from us to make her a top and make her happy.
I know this will never replace what is gone and missing, but maybe
we can soften the blow a bit and let her know how we all feel. We all
love our quilts and what they mean to us. this will mean a lot to Jolo to
know we all care for her and her missing quilts.

I just printed off the Friendship Heart Block that was posted here on the QB...that's a really nice block. And the name says it all! Can write name & state in the center.

I'm in too, just waiting to see what the block is. Wonder if we should all make the same block, maybe using different 'main' colors? A block swap club I used to be in made the Friendship block and used whatever color we wanted, but center was white, and we signed them... It was fun, and pretty when set together..

IF we sign, can we use the emb machine so it's neat?
Or hand emb so it stays thru washings. I know there is
a permanent pen, but to me, it only stays permanent
on my good white shirts. I think this is a great thing to do.

I have not heard back from Jolo, but send me a pm for details if you don't get them in as few days.

In the meantime, I visited chocolate heaven at Jacques Torres today & put a huge box of chocolates in the club car.
My daughter took a class from Mr Torres and said he is the sweetest guy! We are loaded w great food here in NYC
but I always shop where the proprietor treats his students well. (Yes, Lynnie, your birthday...) My favorite was the dark chocolate with lemon zest.

I am in to make a block or more whatever the need. Will be watching to see what block we decided on where/who to mail our block or blocks to. It would be my pleasure to do this for a fellow quilter.

Whew! Just got caught up with all the posts! Didn't realize I hadn't been here in a few days, been busy with my embroidery machine!
All the quilt blocks are looking awesome! I've got my 2 sets ready & waiting for the final (sniff) clue later this morning. We've definitely got some great looking quilts coming out of this pattern.
Count me in on a couple of blocks to donate to Jolo. I just can't fathom someone cleaning her out of all her beautiful quilts. I sure hope they're found. But some type of friendship block from us, I'm sure, will help ease some of her pain & let her know we all love her.
Lynnie, sure glad to see your on the mend!
