Well, I guess I have to add my 2 cents worth. I just got "Maggie May" a few weeks ago on E-Bay, kinda of unexpectedly. Always checking E-Bay and saw one I really liked. Had my son "help" me (not too good with on-line purchases). She's a beauty ...Oct 1953 birthdate. Looks like she was in a time capsule. Was just dusty, so I cleaned her all up, oiled her and she runs perfect. Case is also very nice. The only thing is it didn't come with attachments or manual. But, I don't think I'ld use the attachments anyway. No musty smell, but has an "old" smell. Printed the manual for free on the Singer site. I will post pictures when I get one of the kids to help me.

Welcome slk350 to the Featherweight Club. I'm glad that you had your son to help you with the 'on line stuff.' You will enjoy using it, I'm sure. I like the name you picked for her, or did she pick it herself?

Janis, so looking forward to seeing the pics of your machine and project and your cake. I'm sure your daughter will do this for you.

slk350, congrats on your lil Maggie May, you'll enjoy her and this thread for our lil FWs.

Maggie Mae has a great new home and a wonderful cat to share it with! I can't believe how great her case is! It and she look like new! Your cat reminds me of our Molly. She would get into anything open that she could, suitcases, laundry baskets, etc...

Wow, I am still looking to buy a featherweight (would love to find one born in 1956 as that is the year that I was born)

I've been going over older postings, trying to catch up and saw this and thought I'd share it with FW owners. Not too many replied on it, so I'm thinking that others didn't see it either. It is a tote for the Featherweight and also a bag for the foot petal.
