Nope. I'm lucky enough to be on vacation with my husband, three children and their families in Maine. i did stop in at Marden's in Sanford yesterday to buy some of their great-priced and generously cut material.

I don't get the board news until a day later so the 4th of July is over. We worked on our rehab house and enjoyed all the 4th of July musical specials in the evening.

I worked in the morning and then finished a 9 patch "memories
quilt for a dear friend with a brain tumor, he is getting depressed and thought a larger lap quilt would cheer him a bit. Hope it works!

If so, what are you making?
Working on daughter's quilt and waiting for this great-grandchild to be born. My granddaughter has been having Braxton-Hicks contractions for days now and really is miserable. Hannah is liviing with me and her mother live about 2 1/2 hrs away. My daughter is an RN and worked Nursery and L & D for years, now is in home health. Anyway, she has spent several days here in Conway with us, monitoring things while I entertained Hannah's little sister (ten this month) with sewing and quilting. There is quite and age difference there, Hannah 21 and Brooke almost ten. Brooke has her own Janome and has made some doll quilts already. Made another one this week-end. She heads for my scrap basket every time she comes and that is just ok with me. :D
