I'm cutting 5" squares for my DGD, she is 11 and I plan to make a quilter out of her in a couple weeks when I visit in Tacoma, WA. Family tradition is scrappy quilts and I want her to have a good variety of prints. I won't be letting her use the rotary cutter yet.

    so far so good

I am working on hanging sleeves for 3 of my wallhangings. My guild is having a show in October and everything needs sleeves. One of those finishing jobs that always gets put off. LOL

I got a Baby quilt ready to quilt, then took a couple of hours off just to sit and do nothing, not a usual activity for me.

I have done neither. Just took the day off. I needed a certain fabric from Joann's which my local store did not carry. So we sent into Ann Arbor(I live in Michigan) and found exactly the piece I wanted plus it was 30% off today. I also need a new iron. My 50% coupon would not work for it, but because my hubby is a veteran, I got 20% off. I did not buy Rowenta. I will never buy another one of those. On our way home we took the back roads and saw a lot of gorgous farmland. Beautiful Wheat fields just ready for harvesting. We sure could use an all day rain. May corn fields are way behind in their height. Seeing all the beauriful country made me so glad I live in the USA.

I was cleaning and cutting 2 1/2 strips. Put scraps in 4 bags to give to a girlfriend. I was overloaded. I also cleaned my ironing board! Whew!

If so, what are you making?
I made my first Kindle cover. Struggled at first, but now that one is done I will make another one tomorrow and make notes so I won't forget how I did it. Not sure how to post pictures.
