Making backs for a couple of tops, continuing to piece a quilt for my niece, and cutting pieces for a scrap hexagon quilt. Beautiful sunny day here in western Oregon and we will have a ringside seat later tonight for the fireworks over the lake.

Quilting today! I'm working on an applique table topper for my aunt's 90th birthday later this month. Like many 90-year old ladies, my aunt loves florals. She was also a WAC so I'm using background fabric with small blue stars. I think she'll like it.

Back to cutting 4" squares for the star ornaments shortly. Got to finish up a bit of hand sewing on a blouse I just altered, too.

My youngest DD and grands are here swimming and we will have burgers later. DH decided to paint the bedroom tomorrow and started moving everything out of there this morning. It's all piled up in the LR. I have a floor contractor coming next week to put in new floors in the whole house and he decides to paint now? LOL. I'll be in my sewing room until time to eat. It's too hot outside for me even under the ceiling fans on the porch. DD is in and out looking at my quilt projects and saying which ones she wants and giving her opinion on my fabric choices. I do have two apple pies in the oven. I thought that would be housewifey for me to do. The grands are all over, wet and adorable.

Absolutely!! I dug out my embroidery software and made a quilt label for my bright baby quilt! Embroidered it and even sewed in on.

Next task is to clean up the sewing room - I try to do that after each project - to start anew - so to speak

Happy 4th to all of us celebrating it - and to everyone else - just have a Happy Day!! :)
