    I like Aurifil, so far, haven't used it much. The essential thread form connecting threads is nice - doesn't break - but it is linty. It's great for my bobbin when I quilt. I use Mettler silk finish, too, occasionally.

    I use Gutterman (mostly for quilting) and Coats & Clark (the huge spool)..
    When piecing, especially scrappy quilts, I use up all my bobbin ends. :)

    i have and use all the brands so that i am familiar with them all....but hands down..aurafil is the finest...never breaks,very little lint,smooth as butter and although pricey it just seems to last forever....

    Glad I read thru this post. Before, alot of thread posts were negative about Connecting Threads. I have a question though. The prices look good but how do you possibly get good color matches over the internet?
