This is mine to. What difference does it make to anyone else where someone buys their supplies. Happiness is in the doing not in the $$$$$. And trust me I am not happy spending a lot of $$$.

That and are feathers being overdone on quilts was a recent heated debate, WOW!
Just a little...lol
Are you trying to get me in trouble...lol
No,too late for that but that thread went on for days and was so much fun. See how easy it was to get that spark going again? I love the personality and passion we put into it. And that is definitely a powder keg topic. LOL And I still love feathers!

[quote=Katy]We are not talking moral choices here, not political or even religious. We are talking what do you perceive as the most hotly debated subject in your part or in the whole of the quilting world?
To pre wash or not to pre wash...
do you iron or press?
Hand vs. Machine quilting...
Use spray starch or not?
Join a quilt guild or not?
Steam or not?
Stress over imperfections or apply the 20 mile rule( if it can't be noticed when driving by at 20 miles an hour it does not count)

I don't know, but it sometimes seems that just about any thing on your list can get us going

Pre-wash or not. I do and I don't.

binding by hand or machine. I do mine by machine, love the hand sewn look but I stink at it and my hands hurt.

Yep, those are the two I thought of. No, I usually don't prewash, and yes, I buy my fabric wherever, including Walmart, Goodwill, Joann's, Hancock, and LQS.
