I use lots of colors, but I'm attracted to blues, teals, purples and batiks - lots and lots of batiks in the colors I like in regular fabric. Brown is one color, I don't especially like, however, I did make a trip around the world quilt with browns - it was pretty, but I gave it to my niece who said it matched her living room perfectly. I was asked to make a quilt for a lady in church, using scraps from all her previous sewing projects, and she wanted a red border and red sashing. Now I don't mind red, but in smaller doses. I just kept telling myself what a quilting teacher said - she considers red a neutral. I chanted that mantra when working on that quilt. My son and hubby loved the quilt and fortunately so did the lady who asked me to make it. By the time I finished the quilt, I was not as opposed to that much red in a quilt.

I go through phases. I just passed out of a yellow-blue phase, and am entering a yellow-gray phase!

I'm more drawn to fabric coordinates. When I see a group of matching fabrics it doesn't matter what color scheme it is, I am drawn to the grouping.
