I am going to do this! I have so many uncompleted projects. I need to spend this year finishing some of my UFO's. At least I am not alone. It's nice to know others have the same problem. We can do this! Probably my hardest time will be the Paducah Quilt Show, but I am going to really try hard.

I'm going to try this; however, I will try the six month version. Except, I have already have intentions of using a gift card t a LQS before it expires and have my eye on some fabric. So other than that, I have all ready made a plan not to buy anything new until I finished at least 5 PHDs (projects half done.) I saw that on this board and prefer that to UFOs. That way I can say when I finish my PHD I at least sound like I'm smart. LOL.

Count me in! I did this for 2011 and only fell off the wagon once or twice! Hopefully I will see a dent in my stash by the end of 2012!

Count me in to. I did pretty good trying this in 2011 until fall. last night while looking for a special fabic in my sewing room I found so many projects that I started and never finished that this should be easy. Never did find what I was looking for.

I am with you on this ! I think a lot of us have been doing this same thing lately. Not good for the quilt shop owners but we need to get rid of all the extra we bought over the years.I have been making charity quilts on alot of the fabric. Just simple squares and strip piecing. Then practicing my meandering quilting. Been down with a cold so was interrupted. But, will be ready to start again in a few days.
Do you know how long it takes to make adent in a stash ? LOL.

Ditto. Although I'm gonna need a lot more than 10 steps.

I live in southern California. I go to Road to California this month and the Long Beach International Quilt Show in July. Those are the two places I plan on buying something. I at least, have it down to 2 places.

I am going to start a journal just to see what I can accomplish this year. So far so good. All I have bought was rotary blades.

I like the idea of keeping a journal of my purchases and usages

I made that challenge to myself early in December, as I went through my stash one day. I have enough fabric that I could quilt for years and not need fabric other than coordinating stuff. Then I gave my DD a gift certificate to a LQS. I went with her to use it. All she bought was a pattern. I walked out with 3 yards of fabric that I just had to have. Sheesh. I think it is a disease!
