I'm not sure what to do for the center, but I imagine it could be a good binding on a small quilt. That way you never see the designs (???) as a whole. I agree with the "what was the designer thinking" statement. Good luck.

Maybe a wall hanging.............. something oriental............ Oriental was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the fabric....... good luck lets see what you come up with.

Cut petals from the yellow and orange and applique them into flowers on a table runner or topper. Add some stems and leaves.

Default Use of ugly fat quarter

For a guild ugly fat quarter swap I cut a piece of fabric to trade. Soon after I used some of the leftover for the vine stem in my pic. Cut thin or tiny pieces it isn't so ugly any more.

I agree, make pin cushions with it. Or one of the pincushion thread catchers. They are really neat and would not look bad made into that.
