Pack it all up and move it 5 times in 5 years. No moving company either. You'll have a whole new respect for just how much space fabric weighs and how much space it takes up. You'll be happy to go on a fabric diet and only shop from your stash. So far this year I'm in two blocks of the month and I bought a shop hop quilt. That's it. And I'll bet I don't buy much for at least two or three more years.

Okay, everyone. You have pretty well convinced me it is a desirable addiction, thank goodness. Really love everything about fabric, the look and feel of it, the possibilities of it. Since I have lived on the same house for 45 years, I have accumulated some "stuff". If we ever move I know I will have to part with something. And I agree with the post about shopping. I am sure I spend more on fabric than clothes, shoes or jewelry. I'd rather go to the fabric store any day.

My problem with a group meeting is I'd be hunting a quilt shop on the way or a different way home. Walmart or Joann's is not my problem - lqs are. I love them. And notions - OMG. The new clover clips are the bomb, and the rullers, the loc bloc, the slider. I do have to give in after a while. I also embroider and embroidery thread is as bad as fabric. You can't have just the primary colors, you have to branch out.
One thing though, a friends dgd got married, I went home, made her a monogram design, and am now making her mono pillowcases from my stash. Love that.
Yes, my name is Judi, and I am a (fill in the blanks, I have so many)___________addict. But I don't smoke, or drink, or run around! lol I am, therefor I sew!

Take a deep breathe, it is not 100 miles from you. It is in Ohio, about that far from me. But I visit on the internet and it is the bomb too.
I love what Shelbie said - so true.

As I tell my kids, the reason for all the fabris is - I'm ready for retirement. I have about 4 more years to work. My thought is I might not have the income to buy fabric when I retire, so I'm buying it now.

I think the Quilting Board is the site. We all come here for the cure, but we find plenty of other quilters who want to be cured (use up that fabric) but we only get encourage to get more.

Hi my name is Quilt Fabric hogger.
