Beautiful! I love the bold graphic look of this! Your quilting looks really nice with this too.

You did a wonderful job. I really do like this pattern. I would like to know what it is and where I can get it if anyone knows. I have looked everywhere but I can't find anything close. Thanks.

Alrighty, here is my version: I chose red, black and white, because I love the contrast of the colors.

This is after adding the chevrons (or braids) onto the 6 5/8 inch block.

A 6 5/8 block is cut in half and sewn on the sides for the triangles.

All four blocks are added together to form what will be the Center of the quilt.

I saw the pattern on the board but no directions so I had to try and figure them out - as a result I think I cut things wrong because I keep cutting off the points!!!! grrr - hopefully no one will notice. Also my first attempt at an all over FMQ pattern rather than quilting within each block.
I have learned to cut any fabrics that will be ' triangled' (is that a word? Lol.)into larger pieces than called for, then carefully trim them to size after sewing. Last year just I started doing this, I haven't lost a point since.

Hey reeskylr, so a couple of questions/comments. Are the braids 6 5/8" as well? I did 6.5" just because its difficult to cut all the strips with that 5/8th measurement. Also you may run into the same problem I did...when you start to join the blocks to the center, will you lose your points? Especially on the last rows before you bind? That's where mine lost its points. This was a great effort though! I wonder if EQ would help here? Btw I LOVE your color combo!!!

Great job on the quilt and the quilting! What a wonderful pattern for using up scraps. Thanks so much for posting the photo.

Here is what I did on my EQ I used 12" finished and added 1/4" seam allowances. You'd have to trim the strips to the 30 degree?? angle before adding the triangles
