It bothered me that Aimee didn't come out the right size, so I printed out a 10.5 size pattern and made the this one. I made this and the first one with templates. The second one came out a bit bigger, so I have to admit it was me and not the templates lol.....I made a tut for anyone who is having a problem with this one, this may help you. First, cut all your patches and leave the template on top, especially the the middle blade without a point, this template can get turned around. Now working on the middle part, line up your blades and sew them together and then join the middle seam. Start sewing the sides, there are two with a little triangle on each side and then the other two sides with two tri's on each side. Sew the sides with the one tri on each side first, then sew the sides on with the two tri's on. Then it's time to add the corners and your done.

Still mad at Amiee lol...I printed out a custom pp. I pp the whole block and it went together so smoothly, I now have three Aimee blocks lol.....here are the pp, I creased all the lines, then here are all the parts. I tore the paper off and put the block together. I don't read instruction either. I just look at it and I can see the way it's gonna work for me lol.

    Rosy,

Gorgeous fabric. Where do you find your florals.

Texas, I find them here and there. In this case these are left over from a collection from my friend Elaine who I made the "Clever Quarters" quilt for. A whole bunch of florals and she didn't want the rest back. I just add the solid or contrast from my stash. I love these blocks.

Honchey, I will try to help as time permits.

JanRN, just wanted to let you know that I tried the red Clover clips instead of pinning. Wow!! What a difference. This is definitely the way I'll do this from now on. Thanks for sharing such a great tip!

    Default Addie & Aimee

It's been a long time since I've posted a picture, so I hope I remember. Here are my first two blocks, Addie and Aimee, I got my book two days late, but got caught up, and am ready for next week. This is going to be fun.
