Quiltmania, it seems slow going until you hit ...ummm...maybe the half way mark & then it seems to be like rolling downhill, you pick up speed & it seems to go by fast. Then you hit maybe the last 5 or 6 blocks. You do nothing but frog stitch (rip it **rip it) & we all know why that is! It is because we are not concentrating on what is at hand, we are just trying to slam it together. (I am remembering here! :) )
The journey of a million miles begins with the first step. You have taken the first step by starting the first block. One foot in front of the other...

I have a library of quilting books that resemble Amazon. If it is a time consuming quilt(like Jane Stickle ,Sylvia's Bridal Quilt or Farmer's Wife) just ask me about it, I probably have it.

And have I mentioned my first love in quilting is applique? Heavy duty applique? Like Kim Diehl's stuff "Passing Fancy" ? Eeeehaaa, I have finished that one, just have to assemble it! (I like 40 things going on at one time)

All righty now, I am going quietly....

Hello my name is Mary J. Sanchez.
Your blank is so beautiful. I wish I had your talent. I like to sew but I only do the top and am afraid that it won't come out right. I have trouble put them together. Seem the more I try the more it comes out all wrong. I am glad to see you all who do sew and finish your blankets come out so great. May one day I can finish one and look as nice. By.

Thank you* Thank you* Thank you! I appreciate all the encouraging words & praise.

Alaskasunshine, I will probably give it to one of the Granddaughters when done, She froths at the mouth every time she is here & looks at it. She is the mother of the G-Gran I made the Sunbonnet Sue for that I posted a few days ahead of this one. She is the only one in my family that appreciates the quilting.

I plan on putting a scalloped binding on here. Having never done one, we will see what kind of mischief I can get myself into doing that one. I need to figure out "how to" as I have 2 more finished quilt tops waiting to be quilted with scalloped edges. I suspect I will get it figured out, might get a tad testy getting to that point? :)

Thanks again ...Everyone!
