Your Favorite Actor. What Made You Like Him?

My DH looks so much like Sam Elliot. His older relatives live in NYC so when we go back for a funeral and he's dressed in suit and tie standing on the street downtown NYC people come up to him and ask for his autograph! He is not amused at all. I think it's hilarious. He use to let his hair grow long, down to his shoulders and it was exactly like Michael Landon's hair. I tell him all that beautiful head of hair wasted on him! LOL
I think the first actor I was fascinated by was Clint Walker. I remember him in the movie The Night of the Grizzly when I was a child. I thought he was the best looking man I had ever seen.

Okay now this is the list of actors I like, and not the ones "I would do if I had the chance" That list would be completely different and there would not be the first hairy legger on it!
Humphrey Bogart= Casablanca was his best roll ever and one of the best movies made.
James Dean= He was a mans man and he was a die hard Hot Rodder.
Bob Hope= What can you say about a guy that played the best bumbling con artist
Bing Crosby= You have to have him listed with Bob Hope
Jackie Gleason= Anything that man did turned to gold, from the Honeymooners to Smokey and the Bandit.
The list could go on and on including a few from the "Silent era" but you got the idea.

Sam Elliot...it might be the voice...i know even if i am in sewing or quilting...if i hear his voice i am right there...my hubby laughs, 'i figured you'd be making an appearance' then he'll turn the channel and i go back to sewing ;)
i have loved that man for as long as i can remember...he's just such a ................
rugged man's man...hearing his voice turns me to jelly, then i have to go see him too...so bad.
i am a huge Johnny Depp fan too, absolutely love him but Sam was definitly the first, and strongest love

Liam Neeson...goes back so far I can't remember what I first saw him in. He has that "tough guy with a vulnerable soul" thing going on. AND the voice. :-D
Heath Ledger...same tough, vulnerable thing. And he was hot! I was so sad when he died, he had such a great career, and had no where to go but up. I watched him right from his entrance in the N. American industry, with Roar on Fox(?). What a loss.
And a new one, kind of picks up in the Heath Ledger looks department, Charlie Hunman, Jax on Sons of Anarchy. Again, that tough, do what you've gotta' do thing, with the vulnerability.
One funky one...just as much for the personalities he plays (and his versatility), as his appearance...James Callis. He was Dr. Gaius Baltar on Battlestar Galactica, and most recently was the funky autistic guy on Flash Forward. He makes me laugh so much, but is just too hot for belief.
