Love the colors you chose. I think you have a great eye for what goes together.

Thank you moonwolf. I love making scrap quilts. The 2 batik tops were kits made from salesman's samples, the pattern is from "Layer 'em' up" by Sharyn Craig

I'm confused. Is this a reply to my post or to purplefiend's quilts.

"Love the colors you chose. I think you have a great eye for what goes together."
Sorry but being a newbie, it will take me time to understand all this quilt knowledge.

I love the Corn flower material. There was a whole line that went with it. I bought each of the fabrics, ran out went back and most of them were gone :-( I bought what I could still buy.

Opinions appreciated.

Just couldn't wait to get something so I could try my hand at this quilting thing. lol
I figured I'd start out with a simple block, any suggestions?

How about Warm Wishes with the focus fabric (white background print) as the whole square and the three other fabrics as the stripe block.

 Oops! I'm bad about sending a reply before reading all of the posts. I see that someone else had the same idea.
