I purchase most of my fabric at HOBBY LOBBY. Prices are reasonable. Especially with the 40% off one cut. We do not have a Joann's here in the Rio Grade Valley. We do have one in Traverse City, Michigan. Guess I'll find another source, like on line.

I agree! I bought some "filler" fabric at Hancock's before Christmas only because LQS was closed when I was able to go shopping. I was thankful I only needed a small amount. I really do prefer the quality of the LQS and I like supporting a small business. I would have loved to receive a gift certificate to LQS for Christmas, but I didn't. I think my mom is intimidated by LQS and I told her not to bother with Joanne's or Hancock's. My mom sews but doesn't quilt. Oh well...maybe next year? In defense of my mom though I really did get some GREAT presents. I was happy with what I got!

Maybe the service would be better at Jo-Annes if a ew company took them oveR. The workers at the store by me are not very accommodating.

This just means we as a group, will be 'investigating other sources of supply for our demand'. When we slow our buying, they will get the message. Has anyone noticed that the worst the economy gets, the greedier business gets? Like they have to 'get theirs' before we can use it. Is it even real to believe that wealthy IS healthy? For any of us?

I am in Fallbrook, CA...rather rural... and we do not lock our doors...the house is old and has many windows and 7 french doors ...anyone can brake in...so why lock things up!
I need to trust that people are honest...if not, then I will cope!
