Perfect timing for you to put these pictures up...I just put a Dresden Plate quilt on the frame for my MIL and she wasn't sure what she wanted quilted on it. Guess I'm going to use some of your quilters ideas! What did she quilt in the circles in the center of the plates?

Beautiful quilt. I have yet to attempt sewing such a biggie! Mine are all baby or kiddie sizes.

Nothing is quilted in my circles. The circles are only about 1 and 1/2 inches in diameter.

I hand appliquéd the plates onto the background. Tried the first one with machine blanket stitch but did not like the appearance.
