Here is my Louisiana...I probably should have used black for the little purple triangles to make the middle stand out more, but am not taking it all apart to change that.

Girls,
Carol Doak's Foundation Factory from Quilt Pro is on offer at the moment - just wanted to let you know - here is the link

http://www.quiltpro.com/productPage/..._CarolDesigner

I am a naughty girl as I have fallen off this set of blocks - having bought the book etc. I am finishing my Dear Jane and am doing the BOW of Sylvia's Bridal Sampler AND Loyal Union Sampler and had simply fallen by the wayside with "Stars" Next time around I hope !!!
I love watching ALL the wonderful blocks though and you are all inspiring me to do it in the future !!

I am back in the saddle again; right eye optic nerve decreased in size yesterday afternoon...a prayer answered...and I am feeling so blessed. Back on kitchen duties this day, for the first time since September. It is a wonderful day. I will probably start with current stars and work backward to the last one done.

One day at a time...or one hour at a time...this too shall pass. Never underestimate the power of prayer and trust in the One who watches over all of us..

I worked well ahead on these so I still have a few I can post when their "week" comes up. My 87 yr. old mother now lives with us and I will soon be watching my son and his wife's new born baby girl starting in mid June when they go back to work. I still plan to work on the blocks on the weekends as the mood hits me!!I really love paper piecing. It's a lot of work and messy but I find it very rewarding as a creative outlet.

Here are last week's and this week's blocks. I'm running out of ideas for color combos--keep the inspiration coming, ladies.

Pretty blocks Jan

I got Maine done too. I tried to do it random like the sample in the books, but didn't have enough fabrics...oh well, I don't think it will stand out too much once in the quilt.

Hi

Jan i agree with you on runing out of ideas with the colours, with working with a set 11-12 colours sometime I think Iam doing the same colours combination over and over again, I have put together a sheet every time I make a block and take it photo I put it on this sheet then look at it before cutting out the next months blocks to make sure I am mixing my colours up enough.

Here is my Maine block this month.
