Got to go to shipsawana Sat. found a little amish quilt shop, out of the main stream,spent a hour in there, wish I would have had a lot of money,I spent 40.00,there and 40.00 at the meat shop and 65.00 at the bulk food store,this trip cost me money,then a 5 hour trip, turned into 10 hours with the weather,rain,snow, sleet, freezing rain, I hit it all,but was fun to see all the buggies,

This is the quilt I finally settled on as a thank you gift for my foster son's attorney. I started out making a cathedral windows quilt with black and white polka dot inserts, worked on it for months until I decided it was just too big and heavy...then I did a 10 minute block quilt--made the whole top and decided it was too plain --my daughter loved it so now it's hers! She even volunteered to quilt it. She doesn't know how to quilt but I'm certainly happy to teach her :lol: . I saw this quilt in the Keepsake Quilting catalog--guilt (copywrite laws) made me buy the pattern, the pattern isn't here yet but I couldn't wait to start... This is one of the quilts I have been working on inbetween all of your lovely quilts. The borders are actually straight, my quilt inspector ran across it just before I snapped the picture :? Thanks for looking!
