Does everybody who uses basting spray use it outdoors? On the cans that's what they say to do, due to harmful vapors in the spray. I think it's related to dry-cleaning fluid. I love the way it holds the layers together, but when I take the quilt outdoors and lay it on a sheet and spray it, the slightest breeze tends to make the layers and sheet go every which way. I'm going to try Pinmoors.

Spray basting - 505 spray - can't beat it. I had one of those guns. Never could get it to work right. I still got all sorts of wrinkles and things on the backs. Plus - cutting those things was dangerous. I nicked my quilts a few times.

could someone please tell me the brand or name of the basting spray? is it usually in quilt stores, or like joanns? i have never heard of it, but am willing to try it as i HATE safety pinning the quilt...thanks in advance for your info....gina
