    I have some similar, and I have long tapered candles in them. The candles and the spindles are all different sizes and lengths.

    I could kick myself. I got rid of a bunch just like that. In one of my homes, I used them as candle holders on my mantel. I have a small one that I put a cord threw the middle and put my binding wrapped around it when I'm working on a little larger quilt and hang it from my neck. Then I just set them out as decorations. Have fun with them.

    Hey I bout one of those that had a tapered candle in the hole and a raggy boy around the spool. It was very pretty and a good conversevation starter.

    Those are really neat! I had a sewing room lamp made with one of these that was really cool. A freind bugged me until I sold it to her.... LOL! The inside had a neat yarn wound around it in a garnet red color and the shade was a navy blue and red plaid fabric. Very very cute!
