Have you tried any books yet by Brodie and Brock Thoene? They are a great husband and wife writing team! Might be a little hard to find, but well worth searching for..

C.S. Lewis said that he never wrote a book without quoting George McDonald somewhere in it.. McDonald lived and wrote in the late 1800's in Scotland, but Michael Phillips has done a nice job of putting the Scottish into English that we can understand..

Francine Rivers is an excellent writer, too.. and Angela Hunt wrote some that are entertaining in a different way! Angela writes about a divorcee with 3 kids who inherits a funeral home.. funny!

Guess I'd better stop here... Maybe you can pass on names of more of your favorites to me.. I love to read in bed at night..

I did not see anyone mention. Luann Rice, the first book of hers I read was "Follow the Stars Home". And then read every other book she has written so far. She writes interesting fiction of various subjects and locations.

I am currently reading the Hobbit by Tolkein. I am awaiting the arrival of the Game of Thrones boxed novel set to arrive.
