i am working on finishing the border and then i think he needs more thread painting in the blue sections. He is a wall hanging so the fact that he is turning out to be a bit stiff is okay.

That Red Quilt - the quilting is finally finished. I also stitched around the outer edge to secure them before trimming & have trimmed it up. However, I don't have enough fabric for the batting so will have to get some more really soon. In the mean time, I'm gonna play with my Go! Baby. I have 2 large tubs of scraps to chop up.

I got up early and made a ottoman quilt before the hubby got up. I then donated two bags of scraps. I have been having a tough time using my fabrics since I have it in my head to use up my scraps first...so I decided to donate more....so now I am cutting up my baliks and hope to have them cut up by tomorrow and start a King size quilt for our bedroom. So glad I got rid of my scraps...I have lots of fabrics and was getting sick of using the some ones all the time, even though it is a nice feeling using them.

Great projects everyone. I am quilting a quilt for my granddaughter's birthday. It is next Saturday. I am also going to use up the extra squares for a quilt for her American girl doll. Good thing I work well under pressure. I'll take pics tomorrow.

Still plugging away at mine, although it is slow going. No screaming kids or visiting in-laws but I've had a cold for a week and now its settled in my lungs, giving me a nasty case of bronchitis. But I did do some more flying geese for the stars quilt. Anybody know any good home remedys for bronchitis? The only thing I can find online is get lots of rest and drink water.

I will post update pics tomorrow evening, hoping to get a little bit more done.

Well, I had great hopes when this thread began. Woke up this morning to wind and rain. Perfect quilting weather . . . oops . . . we lost power for several hours. Well, at least I got a start on a knit hat for DGD. When the power came back on, did some machine embroidery nativity figures. They will be a flannel board for DGD. About the only quilting progress I made was to get some red fabric color-set (I hope) so I can use it in a quilted tree skirt for DD (housewarming gift). When I finish the nativity figures, I'll be able to get the tree skirt fabric cut up and start piecing. (The embroidery machine sits on my cutting table when in use.)

I just love all the projects posted here. Hope those of you with little ones can fit in at least a few minutes. In the meantime, enjoy them while they are home. Mine are gone, and I really miss them!

I spent the day at the International Quilt Festival, Houston! It was a wonderful day. Saw Eleanor Burns, purchased her new wonky log cabin template, saw Ricky Tims & Alex Anderson and won a $10 gift certificate to Superior Threads From The Quilt Show. Came home tired and broke. Picked up my machine from a servicing - ready to sandwich/quilt a lap quilt tomorrow. the whole weekend spent in quilt heaven.

Today went a little different than planned.... almost have the components done for the Nov. BOM..... but then went to visit my little grand doggies and take them for a walk in the rain...then stayed to cuddle them for a few hours.... home.... and... brought home a little doggie bed that the new doggie decided to rip to pieces.... have now finished mending it and adding a new bottom piece.... whew! We were planning on going out for dinner.... but have pasta cooking now.... probably won't get back to my BOM tonight as it is already 7:46 pm....

    Default Scraps & Crumbs

I'm working on a Mystery Quilt, and a bunch of Bonnie Hunter inspired scrap blocks, between football games. I need to start machine quilting a child's quilt that is a gift. And I'm including a recently finished Quilt of Valor top that I'm shipping to the LA assigned to me next week.
