If you travelling to Bremen feel free to visit me!

Her is the promised picture of the fabrics.
I already started the work with the name plate.

Tomorow I travel to Dubai due to business reasons and I will check if I can get freezer paper there. ;-)
I will check also the fabric shops but I think there a no specially shops for fabric, well we will see. I keep you informed for the case that somebody will travel to Dubai too.

    Way cool!

My brother travels to Dubai frequently, too bad I didn't know, I could have had him take you some and leave it where you could find it! :)

Oh, I'm so looking forward to seeing your VW too! Nice job on the drawing, and beautiful Barn landscape you have, as well!

Really beautiful! I have no idea how to begin something like this. I so admire those of you who can paint with fabric.

i´m back from Dubai and now i´m proud owner of two big rolls Reynolds Freezer Paper. I paid 8$ for both. Thats a lot less as here. I´m really happy. And its quite enough paper for minimum three big quilts
Furthermore i spent my last United Arab Dollars in the duty free zone for a small travel iron for converted aprox 9 US$.
Dubai is really exciting. Not for vacation but it is the shopping paradise. I spent the whole day in shoppingmalls...(after I took a picture of the new tallest building in the world for the nosey family at home)

Here is the Southwest Splendor (I call it Cactus) that I did from a Cynthia England pattern. Really liked how it came out. It amazes me that she can not only come up with the idea, but to make so many patterns and coordinate the kits also.

Oh yeah, mine is from a kit I purchased at the same time I got the pattern. It's nice to "see" how it is done before having to pick my own fabrics. Don't know if I will do another or not...at least not in the immediate future. Ellen

Both are really nice. I didn't see the desert scene right away as I'd only got as far as the barn. Both are really beautiful. are they all paperpieced?
