I have a PO box, but no package! But I did get an RAK from Sheila-in Erie. I had mentioned that I wanted to get a couple books of the ornament Christmas stamps for 2012. I have a stamp and punch that I would like to use to make cards for next Christmas. She sent me two books!

Thanks Kris and Candi! No pattern, just a little case I whipped up for stocking stuffers for the holidays. Today I am making a case for my DH's GPS. I wish I took pics of the wristlet phone and IPod carriers I made while I was in TN ...they were really cute! and I also made a cover for my grandson's Nook Tablet.

Barefoot Quilter, I have to tell you, you made one new quilter extremely happy and excited! There were oooo's and ahhh's as each delightful layer was unpacked. I can't wait to hear how Melissa's partner likes her special surprise.
Meanwhile ... the unteachable Krystyna has finished doing battle with fabric and machine. I was doing the doll quilt swap this month. The optional theme was "Show Us Where You Live" so, of course, I decided to pull out my templates for the New York Beauty block. Well, I forgot how to make them, but that didn't stop me. I originally wanted to do this as an audition idea for an entry into my guild's challenge. The idea was to do a sun over the water with the sandy beach in front and a little cottage in the foreground.
Ha ha! said the fabric. We don't think so said the thread and machine.
said the quilt police in my head when they saw my binding.
So here's the end result. I mostly used fabrics from my SP's and included some thread painting with luscious glitter thread to highlight the waves. Then I plopped on a bit of gold net lace with sequins over the sun and to form a fishing net at the bottom of the sea. I don't know what kind of doll would use this "doll quilt" -- maybe mermaid Barbie?

Hey Krystyna did you explain the newbie rule to Melissa. You know the one where when you get your very first swap package you have to give to the swapper who lives closest to you. How luck is it that you happen to live closest to her.

It's nice to be back. A bit bent and dented, but I am here! Lovely manicure set Moe. I love the colours too. Ws it your own creation or do you have a pattern for it. I would love to make something like that but do not have the time at the moment to draft my own pattern.
If I am missing again, I am probably scouting for some material to make that gorgeous Blossom bag.

Great packages received yesterday! Mary, I was wondering where you were the past several days...I guess now we know...LOL! I LOVE your new purse! Now that you have mastered the pattern, your future handbags should be a lot easier! I especially like all of the inside compartments! Great Job!!! Also nice to see Tussymussy is back with us!! I've missed you both!
Super Happy that I was able to get to the Post Office yesterday as it is freezing rain here this morning...schools are delayed, power lines down in surrounding areas...not a good day for traveling anywhere around this neck of the woods! My pals package should be delivered tomorrow.
Here is a pic of one of the handmade items I made for my January SP...

Oops, I answered before I got to your reply. Ummm........ could you post a teeny weeny tutorial on this as I expect a lot of us would love to use it for various reasons. It could be used for all sorts of things, not only manicure sets.
