Great idea to put color into your lace, just added more dimension to your great blocks. I can hardly wait to see your whole center block with lace border. Beautiful!!!

I have been missing in action for awhile, but am finally getting back to my AOTH. Here is my center unit with the small border and one side with the block border attached. In order to make the block border come out right, I had to use a 2" yellow border, which is larger than what I had hoped to use and is pretty bright. I may try to tone it down a little with something after I get the rest of the block borders done. (Looks like I should have ironed it - LOL) Don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but the larger areas of blue is where my trappunto heart/feather design will be. I believe I'll handstitch those to match the embroidery work after the quilt is quilted.
